Vietnam and Cambodi Travel

Rose has just returned from Vietnam. In general, the best time to visit is during December through March when its cooler and rain is minimal.  So if you are thinking of somewhere different, this is a popular emerging destination.  A visit to the old capital, riverfront town of Hue, the new capital of Hanoi with its Chinese and French influences, the well-preserved ancient town of Hoi An and dress making capital of Asia and an overnight cruise at the picturesque Halong Bay known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands and cheap cocktails for NZ$5.50 each!

You can even include a short stay at Siem Reap in Cambodia and visit the lost city of Angkor Wat, the world’s largest temple complex covering over 162 hectares. A short walk down Pub Street for an evening out on the town – eat, drink, dance and shop or make a date at the Phare, the Cambodian Circus (Cambodia’s answer to Cirque du Soleil), transforming the lives of the local youth.

A culturally rich, family holiday which is full of amazing sights, activities galore, gourmet seafood and local delicacies and value accommodation that wont break the bank.

Bonnie arranged a family trip to Singapore and added an 11 night Princess Cruise around Asia, for mums 90th birthday.  Couldn’t fault this value cruise to great cities in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Singapore is not just a quick stopover city any more.  There is so much more to do there, especially for families including Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands Spectra Lightshow, Bumboat cruise around the marina, Universal Studios and Aquarium at Sentosa, and eating at the many Food Centres including the One Michelin Star “Hawker Chan” in Chinatown. The latest addition is the “Jewel” shopping mall at Changi Airport.  Ask us for our sightseeing tips
